Gallery 242: Paddington Integrated Project

Pictures from February 2012      © Transport Briefing

The taxi rank at Paddington has been switched to the other side of the station to make space for construction of the new Crossrail station box below Departures Road and Eastbourne Terrace.

These photos, taken following the changeover on 12 February 2012, show the new taxi rank and escalators to Paddington platform 12, the newly opened taxi ramp connecting the London Street deck (passenger pick-up) to Bishop's Bridge Road, the emerging Hammersmith & City line ticket hall, and the old taxi rank alongside Eastbourne Terrace which is now cordoned off.

Also included are a couple of shots of the old Departures Road taxi rank days before it closed. The Crossrail box, with escalators to the new platforms, will be built here.
