Gallery 261: New Tube - Piccadilly line train concepts

These pictures give a sense of the emerging thinking for London's next generation Tube trains, expected to debut on the London Underground Piccadilly line in the early 2020s.

In October 2013 Siemens staged an exhibition at the Crystal in London's Docklands entitled 'Going Underground: Our journey to the future'. This included a life-size mock-up showing how a new Underground train based on the Siemens Inspiro platform could look.

Meanwhile, Transport for London has released CGIs of new Piccadilly line trains based on what it now calls the New Tube for London programme.
