On 21 July 2014 Hitachi unveiled life-size replicas of its new passenger train products at an event in central London.
The AT200 (purple) is a new, modular electric suburban product platform pitched at the commuter market. Hitachi showed off standard and first class seating areas and vestibules featuring sliding plug doors.
The AT100 (orange) is a metro offering with a wide range of potential seating configurations and sliding pocket doors. Articulated carriage connections are said to be wider than the walk-through links offered on existing London Overground trains.
