
Operations Planning Analyst
Reference: VR/16323PP Location: London Salary: Negotiable
What is the Role?
As the Operation Planning Analyst, you will report to the Operations Planning Manager, who is the operational interface within the client organisation.
You will be involved in the production and analysis of train services, rail schedules, bus timetables, operational plans and crew rosters which would result in maximising performance reliability, departures and journey times.
Responsibilities include,
- Analyze passenger demand and devise train service plans to match the demand
- Design and test reliable train schedules
- Formulate plans to ensure the integrity of the train schedule is safeguarded
- Ensure accurate timetable information is published
What Skills do I need?
- Knowledge of railway operations particularly in Alcatel`s Seltrac moving block signalling hardware and software
- Familiarity with train planning, service scheduling and rostering
- Knowledge of the requirements of and the working of the Performance regime, including the method of interpreting performance statistics from Alcatel`s SMC and other subsystems
