Gallery 251: TBM Elizabeth lifted into Limmo main shaft

TBM Elizabeth is lowered into the main Limmo shaft with Crossrail eastern tunnelling due to start towards the end of 2012. The TBM weighs 550 tonnes and was lowered nearly 40 metres into the shaft by Europe's largest crane.
