Gallery 248: Paddington box site

Pictures from July 2012

Behind the hoardings work is underway constructing diaphragm walls for the Paddington Crossrail station box.

The roof above the former taxi drop-off point on Departures Road has been removed but lane markings for taxis are still visible.

The higher level Eastbourne Terrace on the right is largely concealed by plant brought in by Costain/Skanska with the site due to be excavated to a single level by the end of the summer.

Pictures also show the monitoring equipment installed to record any movement in ground or buildings.
